Establishing an "on-demand" service system to reach communities, industrial parks, and rural areas, addressing the real needs of the people and resolving their difficulties.
At the "Joint Efforts for Development, Shared Benefits for the People" Pudong United Front service theme activity on June 20, Pudong announced the official establishment of the "Tongxin Hui" service team and launched ten key people's livelihood service projects. The service team is composed of representatives from various fields of the United Front, with four sub-teams established for legal consultation, innovation and entrepreneurship, science and technology, and healthcare services. It will better leverage United Front resources, focusing on people's needs, and promoting the implementation and effectiveness of United Front people's livelihood service projects.
In recent years, Pudong has closely aligned with people's aspirations for a better life, leveraging the strengths of the United Front to create a number of heartwarming United Front people's livelihood service projects. These include overseas Chinese lawyers assisting in dispute resolution, Qimei enterprises and villages carrying out paired construction and joint prosperity initiatives, and the Heqing "Lan Jie Jie Studio" assisting ethnic minority groups in resolving difficulties.
The reporter learned that there are more than 3,500 ethnic minority people in Heqing Town, involving more than 30 ethnic groups such as Miao, Yi, Hui, Manchu, Zhuang, Tujia, and Mongolian. Considering the large number of ethnic minorities, diverse ethnic composition, and multiple needs and demands, the Lan Jie Jie Studio was established last year. In the past year, it has not only held various ethnic activities, but also provided services such as policy consultation, guidance on procedures, and psychological counseling, effectively promoting ethnic unity and maintaining social stability.
The ten Pudong United Front people's livelihood service projects showcased and launched that day further tapped into the advantages of the United Front's various fields, aligning with the needs and aspirations of the grassroots and the public. These include the "Heart-to-Heart Employment Program," "Heart-to-Heart Legal Program," "Heart-to-Heart Health Program," "Heart-to-Heart Blessings," "Heart-to-Heart Arts Program," "Heart-to-Heart Respect for the Elderly Program," "Heart-to-Heart Pomegranate," "Heart-to-Heart Rural Program," "Heart-to-Heart Public Welfare Program," and "Heart-to-Heart Common Prosperity Program." These projects form an "on-demand" service system to reach communities, industrial parks, and rural areas, addressing the real needs of the people and resolving their difficulties.
A United Front people's livelihood service fair was also held simultaneously at the event. Nearly 30 service booths were crowded with people. The fair offered professional consultations on policies, medical care, and law, as well as convenient services such as TCM clinics and eyeglass fitting. There were also displays of intangible cultural heritage, products from targeted support for rural revitalization, and interactive activities such as a quiz on ethnic minority knowledge. The first legal lecture of the "Tongxin Hui" service team was also held that day, with Yu Minjian, a member of the Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and vice-president of the District Intellectuals Association, giving a special presentation on "Enterprise Intellectual Property Management" to enterprises in the park.
Fang Jiansen, Deputy Director of the Municipal Committee of the United Front Work Department, stated that currently, various democratic parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, non-party members, and members of the new social stratum are conducting the theme education of "Strengthening the Foundation, Uniting for Progress on a New Journey." People's livelihood projects should be incorporated as a component of this theme education to further consolidate the common ideological and political foundation for united struggle. Careful organization is needed to ensure the implementation of people's livelihood projects, implementing each one effectively and improving the sense of fulfillment and happiness among residents. More than 500 people attended the event, including representatives from the district committees of various democratic parties and United Front organizations, as well as park employees and residents from surrounding communities.
